Every year, a team of international doctors flies from Switzerland to Mexico. There they visit the poorest communities, where nutritional deficiencies often lead to cataracts. In addition to performing free operations, they educate local doctors and bring much-needed supplies. In honour of its 30th birthday, the International Women’s Club of Lucerne is trying to help women worldwide live longer, healthier lives.
